Cannot move children to a new home?
I adopted 2 kids, Lucia from Whiterun and Francois Beaufort from Honorhall Orphanage. I moved them to my house in Whiterun, Breezehome, where my wife Aela also stays. Later, I bought and fully upgraded Proudspire Manor, the house in Solitude. Each time I talk to my kids, the option to move them appears, but I never moved them.

Then, I built Windstad Manor, but it not have a bedroom wing. Since then, there has been no option in the dialog to move my kids, either to Solitude or Windstad. However, the option to move Aela is still there. Later, I built and furnished a bedroom wing (beds and containers and all) in Lakeview Manor. There are still no options to move the kids, but Aela can still be moved.

I just bought a house in Riften, but didn't make a kids bedroom there. I still have the option to move Aela, but there are no option to move Aela to Riften. She can only be moved to Solitude, Windstad, and Lakeview. Here are my questions:

1. Is there any known bug with my choices of kids, spouse, or homes?
2. Assuming my problem with the Riften home is not a bug, will spouses only move to houses with kids bedrooms? What about Windstad then?
3. Is there any fix? Console commands maybe?

2. No, you can move a spouse to any house with a bed, independent of the children....

Sadly I still don't know of a fix.

Get the Hearthfire Adoptions Mod

Hearthfire multiple adoptions - Now with custom home support for kids and spouse
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3862

Read everything on the mod page:

for example you won't be able to adopt past the default 2 children unless you start a new game.

Here's another matter of importance:
To move into a custom home:
- Visit the home and cast the "Bless Home" spell while there.
If the home is blessed, it will become your new custom home.
- Now talk to your spouse or your children and move your family to the new home.
- You can also directly adopt kids to the new home.

So as Always is the case with mods; Read Everything

So, the fact that Aela won't move to Riften is a bug, and not a feature?

Well I've never tried to move her there, only married her once tbh, but it sounds like a bug to me

Dangit. I tried to find the solution through Google and the forums, yet there's nothing. Anyone know a console command to fix?

I have read it, but I am looking for one that does not require creating a new save. Thanks anyway!

That's only if you want to adopt more than 2 children. Which just happens to be what the base game allows. This should be fine for you. No?
