FNIS Error 2012
Been working fine for me the last few days, but I get this error now when I try to use it. I use MO2, tried the whole antivirus thing (I use Norton, so unless the sneaky bastards made the disable button more difficult to find that I originally thought it should be okay), my steam folder is outside of the program files (x86) and I've given MO2 and FNIS admin permissions. I am out of ideas.

Wouldn't that make it so FNIS doesn't detect the mods that are installed via MO2?

simple google search

"So, this error appears when your FNIS is not in the Skyrim data folder. To resolve this issue uninstall the FNIS and install it in the right folder because it has to be installed in the Skyrim data folder if the launcher looks for it in that folder"

If you use MO2, install FNIS as a mod. In MO2's gears icon (configure executables) set the "Binary" path for FNIS to GenerateFNISforUsers.exe that will be several folders deep.

In my case, MO2 is installed in C:\MO2 - SSE.

GenerateFNISforUsers.exe is in:

C:\MO2 - SSE\mods\Fores New Idles in Skyrim SE - FNIS SE Behaviors\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe

I already have it installed and had it working, but it stopped working all the sudden. Tried all the stuff from the article that was linked to no avail...

Solved it. Literally copied and pasted all of my mods into a new MO2 instance and it...just worked I guess.

Download it as a normal mod and activate it (left pane)
To get FNIS as an executable in MO, go to data/tools/generate for users/click on F(red background Icon) and this will set your path to use it.
Sorry for late response been downloading a program all day.
