My character has no eyes
So I recently installed and started modding SSE on my new computer, and made the classic mistake of istalling 50+ mods in a row without checking ingame for issues. Now my character has no eyes, just empty eye sockets. I tried disabling the "Improved eyes" mod since I figured that might be the cause, but no, still no eyes. It shouldn't be the ENB either since it's just my character's eyes who are gone. I would post a modlist but screenshots aren't allowed..

Please do the basic troubleshooting first - and then please remember - for your own sake - to install mods properly and with test along the way.

To test, turning off mods is not the way to go - any bad info may have been baked into the save. The way to test is to start off with a vanilla save (or a save that only has the mods you absolutely know are safe) - one made where the CTDs occur so it is easy to test - and then add in groups of mods till you find the one causing the crash - making a manual save each time so you can roll back when the CTD occurs and zero in on the specific mod. And although that may be time consuming, often it is far better and quicker using that systematic approach than trying to guess willy-nilly which mod it is (unless one of us happens to spot a mod we know is a problem when you post a load order).

Second, once you do find which mod is causing the crash, and have removed it, you cannot continue using the same save, again due to how Skyrim bakes data into the save (and this data CANNOT be removed - despite what some may say) . You must either go back to a save made prior to having installed the removed/disabled mod, or start a new game. There is no other option - unless the mod is one of the exceptions mentioned in the below linked discussion. For complete info on this, see:

As to posting your mod list, screenshots are NOT needed, nor are the recommended or wanted. Just use LOOT. To post your load order, just click on the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the LOOT screen, click on copy load order from the drop-down menu, and then paste in the reply box.

But, that should not be needed as it is clearly a case that can be fixed by loading the mods up a few at a time to determine the issue.

Your loadorder is a real mess there.
XperienZ Sep 5, 2020 @ 6:07am
It is? LOOT made no changes to the load order when I sorted load order.
rallicknom Sep 5, 2020 @ 6:15am
Did you run FINIS after installing your mods?

The OP did not have a CTD but a problem with character creation.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031 you can clean your save don't spread false information
smr1957 Sep 5, 2020 @ 6:47am
I will only post this here once, as I do not wish to sidetrack the discussion. Saves CANNOT be cleaned of information that has been baked in. All the information regarding that is in the link I posted. Tools such as Falrim Tools or other save cleaners can rid a save of obsolete entries and orphaned scripts, but not the data or scripts which have been baked in. All the info is in the linked thread - and it is not just my words - but the words of Arthmoor, Ilja, and the experience of Bethesda developers themselves - unless it is being claimed that they, too, are spreading false information - and if so, then a person claiming this should start a thread and expose this with any proof they may have (though, of course, this would be akin to proving the world to be flat).

My apologies, XperienZ, but these type of statements by those who are uniformed need to be stamped out on the spot.

And no, your load order is not a "real mess." But, have you troubleshooted it as instructed? Because, in the end, that is most likely what you will need to do regardless.

What tool did you use for installing your mods?
Kussin Sep 5, 2020 @ 4:30pm
verify cache maybe in case the whatever-eye mod you installed before somehow messed with it.
otherwise i have no clue what could cause it. start new game anyways

FNIS wont be the case. You just have sexymove and tk dodge and in case u wouldnt have installed it correctly you would see other problems such as static T pose.

I figured it out! It was Total Character makeover that caused the issue. Probably it was a mod conflict with the eye mod or something else.
