What element does vampiric drain spell fall under if at all?
As the title says I want to know if that vampire spell falls under a element such as fire, frost or shock and if so which? I tried googling it but just got results saying its a exclusive spell for vampires only,it's a destruction spell but doesn't benefit from the destruction spell skill tree or it's perks. I however couldn't find out unless I missed or didn't find the website that said whether or not it falls under a element. I'm asking so that I can know which potion of resist to use aside from resist magic to negate some of the damage if they're is another I can use. Thanks ahead of time to anyone who answers my question.

In the UESP, it says:

Drain Health, <mag> pts for 1 sec

The key is what's inside the brackets. What they mean is that it is a magic attack, more specifically, you use resist magic to try and defend against it. Atronach stone will also work, if you want to use that.
I already knew that magic resist would work I wanted to know if it was connected to a element such as fire, frost or shock.
No, it probably falls under a corrupted form of restoration or possibly alteration, but has no elemental aspect for those resistances to work against.

This is the type of answer I was looking for I figured it'd be a corrupted version of restoration it being a spell only a undead vampire can us but I was hoping it have a element to further defend against it oh thanks for the answer anways.

When it says <mag> that means it's not tied to any element.
