Sabercat & Skeleton in the Reach, easter egg?

I found a scene from a pitched battle between an npc and a saber cat south of the Peryite Shrine and due west of Karthwasten. It looks like it should be an easter egg but if so I can't tell for what. The saber cat is dead with several arrows in it and lying on top of an enchanted bow and there's an elven battle axe stuck into it also, the cat is laying between 2 large boulders and a knapsack is next to it, a skeleton lies a little further down the hill in the open. Is this familiar to anyone?

Probably the game rewarding you with some treats as a reward for thorough exploring. Skyrim is full of these "peeps come to a bad end" tableaux.

Easter egg. Opening scene of 300, when the kid kills the lion. Well known easter egg. Even on the list of known easter eggs.

I hadn't seen it featured before that I remember and it's been years since I saw 300. I just stumbled onto it the other day. I knew it had to be an Easter egg, thanks for the reference!
