Um....floating heads?
So I've been setting up SSE for the first time. noticed a couple of NPCs with floating heads and the rest of them are invisible. Will post screenshots and my mod load order in a sec. I also had Diverse Skyrim but have deleted it

Well, first, you CANNOT remove the vast majority of mods mid playthrough. If you remove a mod, you must go back o a save made BEFORE that was was installed, or start a new game - there are no other options. And if you decide to reinstall the mod, it MUST be on a save made while that mod was still installed. For full information on this, see:

Like I said before I also had Diverse Skyrim but deleted it because it required the unofficial patch and I'm not getting that yet.

I thought that might be the problem so I checked with a new character. Still there

I'm about to have dinner so can't really check things over. But as a heads up, next time if you need to post your load order, use LOOT (sorting and applying first). To post, just click on the 3 verftical dots in the upper right corner of the LOOT screen, select Copy to clipboard from the dropdown menu, and just paste in the reply nox here. Saves a lot of hassle. Good luck!

Nice, I will remember that for the future

So I opened up the CK and pulled up the NPCs in question and the render window showed everything just fine. This would imply that the textures and meshes are fine and I should be able to try disabling one mod at a time and find the culprit....right? This is completely out of my modding experience

Do it the other way around. Start a clean vanilla game and test that game has no problems. Then with no mods, add in a few at a time, testing as you go , until you see the issue. or, it may just be that something was not there and reinstalling the mods may fix it. The reason to test on a vanilla save as opposed to removing mods is due to the same things that cause issues when removing mods midplaythrough.

Problem found. It was the Imperial Champion Armor. It worked fine when I had it on Oldrim so I must have installed it wrong or the SE conversion wasn't done properly. (I probably did it wrong. I was tired and grumpy when I installed it, lol) Special thanks to my Argonian helper PC Finds-the-Dirty-Mod (I may be tired and grumpy but I am not without a sense of humer ;P

Glad it's fixed! Hope the only thing that you don't see in your game from now on, is bugs!

Oh I most certainly will, I'm just getting started with setting up SE ;P it will probably take me a few more days before I'm finished. It'll be worth it though
