Eating, Drinking, Sleeping
Is it possible to play through the game never eating, drinking, or sleeping? I've read that there are some bonuses in skill improvements for being well rested after sleeping, so I'm aware that there are benefits. I'm wondering if there are any negative effects from not eating, drinking, or sleeping, like a weakening of health/stamina/etc.

For the sake of role playing, it makes sense to eat, sleep, and drink...I'm just wondering if it is necessary.

Nope, unless you use one of the mods that make ir required OR you are playing survivial mode.

In the base game its not realy needed aslong that you get a heal spell (you need to heal rtight ^^)

if you want that system ingame you can download a mod that activates hunger and such

have fun mate

Back in Morrowind and Oblivion, you had to sleep when you wanted to level up. Even if it was just for an hour. They changed it so you can level up just by opening the menu, because reasons.

You can get XP bonuses when resting. +5% if you sleep in an unowned bed, which would be like in a bandit hideout or dungeon. +10% if in an bed you "own", like a house you bought or a room at an inn you rented. +15% if your spouse is the house with you.

negative effect is random attack spoawns come faster the longer you not sleep

attack spawn can be counter by donating at Rift Temple of Mara. will also create more sunshine

main sign for attack spawn is if it gets cloudy and starts raining alot, it is a big sign that you should donate to Mara!

and last less sleep bonus.

thats pretty much it as far as i know, unless you use al mod that alters this.

The Rested bonuses only last for a short time, however, and typically fade out by the time you get from your Resting place to a spot where those bonuses would be of actual use. For example, say you spend the night at Sleeping Giant Inn, get your Well Rested bonus, then head for Bleak Falls Banana when you wake. By the time you get to the front steps of the place, the Well Rested Bonus has worn off, and you've encountered a wolf, a troll, 2 (maybe 3) Bandits, and the 4 Bandits guarding the front of the place.

It's the same claim they made about Infamy and Fame, variables left in Skyrim from Oblivion that don't do anything.

I'm going to install the iNeed - Food Water and Sleep, plus check out of some of the food mods. Although I'll be retreading over old ground (not too much, though, since I'm only at level 7), I'm going to start the game over. Realistically I should have died at level 1 or 2 from lack of nourishment alone. I intend to role play this game and not just swing weapons around. And now I also realize that if I don't want to automatically accept ever quest that comes my way, that I should consider if I really want to ask an NPC about any rumors.
