Mods - no achievements
Hey guys
After few hours spent in game, I decieded to get a few mods for the game. After installing them and restarting the game I got a message that while having mods on, my achievements are disabled.
I decieded then that I would like to play the vanilla game first and get all achievements, and then mod the game.
I disabled all mods that I previously installed and I also double checked ingame and it appears there are no mods on.
Will I now be able to get achievements again, or should I reinstall the whole game?:steamsad:

Thanks!

You will now be able to get achievements again. If you want to use mods and still get achievements, download the achievements enabler: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/245/

I heard about that. I installed the mods from the game itself, I didnt use nexusmods website. Will the achievements enabler work, If I got mods directly from the game?

Yes. The enabler works for all mods.

Really? I'm running with quite some mods, and I did got 2 achivs from the civil war yesterday.
It's a SSE thing? Cause in oldrim you totally can get achivs.

Yes. Using mods for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition disables achievements.

There is one more thing that is very important. After disabling the mods, did you go back to a save made before installing the mods? And if no save was available, did you start a new game.

Most mods cannot be disabled/unistalled midplaythrough, as the game bakes data into the save, and this cannot be removed (regardless of what anyone else may tell you). For complete information on this, see:

Sounds like they have fixed the Achivement Re-Enabler Mod then since i played in october. There was an update around then that effectivley disabled the Achivement Re-enabler mod, so i had to abandon my current playthrough until it worked again. So its good to hear it actualy works fine again.

Disabling achievements is something i never understood the purpose behind, as setting a game to lowest difficulty effectively makes none of them hard to get.

I actually saved the game with mods on, and after uninstalling them I loaded that save file. That is probably the reason why my blacksmith has 10 000 gold, even while I uninstalled that mod.

Thanks for reminding me, I guess I will play game with achievements enabler to be sure that I get achievements.

It's purely based on consoles, where getting badges actually earns you things. Blame Microsoft (and Sony, they have the same system IIRC) for making Bethesda do it, and then blame Bethesda for being too lazy to change the code back to normal for the PC release.
