Dead Thrall really any better than Dremora Lords?
I just hit 100 in Conjuration the other day and finally 'unlocked' the ability to summon two permanent zombie pals with Dead Thrall and Twin Souls.

Up until now, I'd been leaning heavily on Dennis the Drama Lord to carry me through my Master difficulty run while I hang out in back, toss some Illusion spells, or summon my Bound Bow to collect more souls.

Now I have the ability to summon two Dennises.

The idea of finding interesting, powerful characters to bring back as permanent followers is pretty neat... But the flexibility of being able to pop in my Dremora Lords wherever I need is hard to beat.

I just did some minor little dungeon where I had to fall down a hole to proceed.

At the time, I only had one Master Vampire following me... The first person I chose to reanimate as a thrall.
He is pretty neat and spams spells and does a lot of damage.

But since I fell down the hole, the vampire (as well as my follower) took a long time to get to me.

Meanwhile, I was attacked by a bunch of high level draugr that I couldn't really handle on my own (my damage output is practically 0).

So I 'reflex-casted' two Dremora Lords in front of me, losing my Master Vampire somewhere in the upper level of the dungeon.

Proceeded to clear the rest of the mine with the Dremora Lords.

I'm kinda of two minds on how I want to proceed with my conjuration spells.

... The Master Vampire is very chatty.

I never used a thrall tbh. I found the dremoras to be lackluster and from what i heard the thralls tend to get lost a lot if you fast travel.

Thralls can use enchanted gear that you give them. Dremoras can not.
