Sweetfx mods and fps drops.
Downloaded a few sweetfx profiles to try out since I find the graphics look better on this version of the game...but still have this " haze" ..colours aren't deep enough for my tastes.

Either way it's usually no big deal as sweetfx fixes these above issues. Only this time I noticed with some of the profiles I was getting a 30-40 fps hit. Going from 90+ to 55-65 and at times dipping into high 40s .

I can't think of why this is happening. Typically sweetfx has very little impact on fps rates.

Depends which SweetFX/Reshade preset you use ?

But I know what you mean, I'm using a great Reshade preset called Skyrim Re-Engaged, but there is still something about the colors not popping out.
Maybe some do beat on fps rate more then I figured. Hmmm. I have to experiment with more. I was just reading about the skyrim reengaged on Nexus. I'm going to load it up here soon. The power company cut power to my street while they replace a transformer.

Ah that sucks ! I tried both the Re-engaged with and without the ENB, for me I prefer Re-Engaged with no ENB, with the optimal quality package.

If you do install it, dont forget that you need to do the base install THEN the preset install (it's all in the same zip file but two folders)

No no, SweetFX/ReShade has big impact on performance. That's why everyone tweak the FX and turns on/off the effects to their liking. ENB right now hit performance even harder.

Using ENB for the tripple buffered Vsync without any post processing effect and I still get a 5-7 fps penalty, I guess this will be fixed on future ENB updates.

Using Reshade for Luma Sharpen only doesn't give me any fps loss.

You dont need ENB for triple buffering, riva tuner (for sure) and nvidia inspector (not so sure) can do that. In your case what benefit do you get from triple buffering ? Just trying to help

I want tripple buffering because I don;t like screen tearing and the games vsync is doble buffered..
I don't use nvidia inspector because I use AMD xD

Depends on your effects you have active.

Reshade 3.0?

Effects like DoF, mxao, bloom, HDR can drop you 20+ fps. How tweaked those settings are will affect it as well...

I recommend 3.0+, due to being able to make tweaks, on the fly, see the result, and observe fps drops instantly...
