Best Place to Live or Build a House?
Don't get me wrong - I love living in Whiterun. My kids are always happy, and the city seems to have good people.

However, my house is just too small for storage. I keep on finding new things to store, and the Whiterun house is too small for me, my dog, my wife, and kid.

Is there any better houses to live in, or where can I build a good house?

I prefer the hold in Falkreath, because it got a nice view to the river, n' every time I want, I can kill some necromancers or snipe some hawks

Be resourceful bro. Look for the answers yourself next time. Took me 5 seconds on google.

Yeah, this is my favorite place as well. It's fairly close to Riverwood, which I like. Like you said, there's always hawks flying around.

I'm using Breezehome in Whiterun as storage for crafting purposes (smithy and selling places close).
My actual all-time favorite living place is Proudspire Manor in Solitude - plenty of space for everything, enchanting & alchemy in the basement, overall good architecture.

Never really used playerbuilt houses in the end.

And if you go to it's rooftop, you can harvest eggs from the nest. I just can't figure out how to use that damn apiary

Oh crap, I never thought about the roof. Thanks man. Haven't figured out that apiary either. I may work on that tonight. :steamhappy:

Falkwreath = best views, kids like it
Morthal = can have fishery, amazing for river betty super-poisons.
Other one = never lived there, but I've heard it's too snowy.

It would be nice but, it's been a little over a year since it was last updated.

I like the house Windhelm. Big, lots of displays, rooms and storage. Comes with an enchanter and alchemy lab. The armory and other deocrations you can buy with it are quite big. The only drawback is that it's expensive.

Proudspire Manor is the best house.

If you live at Lakeview Manor with Spouse & children, you may get a scolding from your spouse about the conditions for raising a family in the 'wild'.

Proudspire is the only home I found that your spouse will praise you for selecting as a place to raise a family.

best one i think would have to be Severin Manor at Raven Rock it has everything Lab, enchanter and Forge all in one place and tons of storage oh and no crappy house carl to get in your way or eat your food and sleep in your beds.

Btw there are some mods if you're interested in more housing locations, worth checking out.
