The mind of madness (not starting, need help)

So basically, i got the key to go into the wing

I'm inside (though the quest tracker is asking me to go out the door and then back in)

I go down the hallway that's supossed to teleport me and

nothing

i just kept walking and can see the rest of the house.

I'm stumped.

do you have pelagius's hip bone?
are you using ussep?
what mods do you use if any? if none, install USSEP.

hey, i'm not sure how i solved it, but you did give me the idea to re-install ussep and check all my mods. Seems to be working fine now with all the mods i had before. -shrug-

Is it possible you had a mod called "Get On With It" installed, which skips the door animation?
I had this very same problem only a moment ago but after disabling that mod, the quest progressed as normal.
Just adding it on, for others who get super confused and frustrated like me when trying to solve this bug.

Deff a mod i had installed, so it seems possible it would be that one.

Map for the pelagus wing is a bit misleading, you essentially have to go in a loop to get where you need to go, and at one point it looks like the game is telling you to leave the area. Just keep forging ahead and you get there.

Probably shouldn't necro but I found a more peaceful method rather than disabling a mod.
Walk out of the wing and open Console ~
type: SetStage DA15 50
walk back in and the hallway teleport should be there.
It has something to do with that specific door to the wing. dunno.
