3rd person camera postion config?
Seems that in 3rd person, your character is dead center of the screen, blocking the camera view. This makes your player model often in the way of interacting with anything your crosshairs aim at.

Other 3rd person games move the player model off to the side a bit (i think the original skyrim did too). Anyway to adjust this? Havent seen a SE mod yet for it, maybe a config setting?

That's weird. It is on the side. Not in the middle.

Guess there are options somewhere to change that ?

jepp i think its in SkyrimPrefs.ini or changed via console command
its 2 vaules that adjust x and y for it if you have Creation Kit they listed in the game settings variables.

Wow... it looks like you can change it real time in game. That would be great... unfortunately i dont have a controler. Playing with mouse/keyboard.

here for skyrim.,ini edit vaules

[Camera]
fOverShoulderCombatAddY = -15.0000 //When weapon is out: zoom in/out
fOverShoulderCombatPosZ = -10.000 //When weapon is out: height
fOverShoulderCombatPosX = -35.0000 //When weapon is out: left/right distance from the center
fOverShoulderPosZ = -10.0000 //When weapon is NOT out: height
fOverShoulderPosX = 0.0000 //When weapon is NOT out: left/right distance from the center
fOverShoulderHorseAddY = -200.0000 //While on horse: zoom in/out
fOverShoulderHorsePosZ = 75.0000 //While on horse: height
fOverShoulderHorsePosX = 0.0000 //While on horse: left/right distance from the center
fMouseWheelZoomMinDelta = 0.000 //Not sure what it does exactly
fMouseWheelZoomSpeed = 14.0000 //Speed of the zooming in/out
fMouseWheelZoomIncrement = 0.6000 //Increments, not sure how it does work, but currently it's 3 steps, min, med, max. Proportional with Min/Max VanityModeDist
fVanityModeMinDist = 80.0000 //Min distance from the character (min zoom out)
fVanityModeMaxDist = 240.0000 //Max distance from the character (max zoom out)
fPitchZoomOutMaxDist = 0.0000 //Set to zero so when looking down the camera won't go further away

[Combat]
f1PArrowTiltUpAngle = 0.2
f3PArrowTiltUpAngle = 0.5
f1PBoltTiltUpAngle = 0.2
f3PBoltTiltUpAngle = 0.5

adjusting them via console should also work, as long you tell it to set these variables.
by simple checking the vaule and adding no change, it shows the current vaule on in game console
lastly link to console command list

Thanks CDM. I always struggled to work out which setting did what. Your post got me through it. Cheers!

Well without controller, the mouse wheel should zoom the camera in and out, just like in the vid.

Any of you know how to change the 3rd person aiming in the ini file? My arrows are shooting to the right slightly.

Stop playing 3rd person.

It's wrong.

It's EVIL!

It's the Devil!

If I had my way it would be against the law.

You should be locked up for playing that way.

You sick monster..........
this will surely works just like someone up here claim that it has something to do with x and y, in skytweak (a must have mod that let u alter almost everything the way u want it's a very good mod and worth getting) go to INI and the over shoulder X type 0 (mine was 30 before it got fixed so it was a bit to the right) draw out your weapon and put it back in and the camera will reset have a nice day with skyrim
