An easy ini tweak to render grass further
Just add
fGrassFadeRange=85000
to the [grass] section of the skyrim.ini and that's it, no need to touch skyrimpref.ini

before http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/44/1478207567-20161103221004-1.jpg

after http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/44/1478207567-skyrimse-2016-11-03-22-11-22-67.png

I get all that grass by using "Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin" from the nexus ( available in the special edition nexus)

Of course using this tweak might affect the framerate, and using Verdant even more, but I get a smooth 60 fps with my rigs (980ti i7 6700k 16gb ram)

Hope that's help

Thank you thank you! :D the LOD Pop-ins are so annoying.. i wonder, are there other ini tweaks that work on SSE? i'd really appreciate further input on that!

I really don't know, I don't have a lot of knowledge about skyrim ini file I guess majority should works but I haven't tried

The only one I tried and did works was adding sIntroSequence= to the [general] section of the skyrim.ini file

This edit will get ride of the Bethesda logo when you launch the game, so you'll end up in the main menu quicker, let you play a couple of second faster :pleased:

And both of you are welcome

Do you have to use that mod too? Or will just the ini change make the stock grass go out farther?

This is good to know. I went through my other Bethesda ini files and noticed that line was in the first two Fallout games, but not in the one for Skyrim. Though in the Fallout games the value is only 1000. Having it as high as you recommend should make a big difference in those games.

That would kind of break immersion in those games don't you think? With it being a nuclear wasteland and all.

Why? There's not much in the way of grass to begin with, and it's mostly brown and dried up looking at that. So you'll just have stunted grass appearing further out than usual. It's not like you're going to end up seeing lush green grass everywhere.
