EDIT: I failed to mention iVSyncPresentInterval=0
https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/5aadkw/confirmed_120fps_fix_for_skyrim/
I have capped the framerate with Nvidia Inspector to 60 fps but i have strong tearing. The Game shows mostly 60 fps, sometimes 55 fps.
I tried also to use adaptive sync, but it takes a lot of ressources.
this is really annoying...
maybe someone have an idea?
Yeah really.
I'm on an X34.
No 21:9
No 100Hz
No Gsync
Would be doing better running this on one of those cheap Korean ips monitors.
yeah i set up iVSyncPresentInterval=0 and caped the framerate in nvidia inspector at 59 fps wit the framelimiter v2.
I deactivated all vsync and i have tearing when i walk or move the camera.
Physic bugs i never had, but i added also the line "fMaxTime=0.0166" to the skyrim.ini file, just to do all right.
Should cap the fps not resulting in no tearing?
thx!
same, i have the predator x34 im pissed.. sure, the 64 portation is great, but no widescreen support, gsync dont work..
Yeah it's a buzz kill.
yup this.
playing 144hz + gsync just fine here after a little tweaking.
skyrim is like a whole new game now :)
It kinda sounds like you need vsync, but Bethesda's is crap. Maybe try forcing vsync in Skyrim through the Nvidia Profile manager? This is just a guess on my part. =(
Im using the x34 acer predator as monitor and i capped at 60fps.. tearing is horrible. even now after setting the borderlesswindow option in skyrimprefs.ini to 1.
hm sure, i can use adaptive sync, but it takes a lot of the ressources that are better invested in the game itself.
Here are the settings I'm using if you want to try them out. I do get some screen tearing but nothing too bad. The FPS is limited to 60 with the settings below.
Control panel game profile
Monitor tech - Fixed refresh (Normally Gsync)
Preferred refresh rate - App controlled (Normally Highest available)
Vsync - Adaptive (Normally Fast)
*Have scaling set to No scaling, Display, Override the scaling mode set by games and programs
The only .ini line I altered is the res to 2560x1440 and enable full screen.
* could also try forcing triple buffering (Instead of adaptive) in control panel instead of adaptive though I haven't tested it.
Thank you.
I changed the max prerendered images to App Controlled, like you described.
What i wonder is why it display 64 fps in skyrim, even after limiting the framerate in the skyrim profile in nvidia inspector. is nvidia inspector needed to run to take in consideration the changes made?
