Character stuck in place

Here's what i got so far:

I'm stuck in place in Raven Rock Mine, right after taking the "winds of change" black book.
Stuck in third person mode, can only look up and down, can't move in any direction, when I change my weapon the arms stay in place and it stays on my back, but the character does the animation, can jump(then the character "falls" for about 4 seconds, and lands), can crouch, can use shouts, can't use magic.

Tried tcl and tgm, going in and out of black books, shouting whirlwind sprint, crouching and rolling.

Don't have saves from before getting stuck.

I'm running vanilla(no mods).

Please help, I've been scouring for hours and couldn't find a similar error.

*update - Tried(and succeeded) teleporting my character to a different location, for some reason spells work now, though my character and camera are still stuck.
additionally tried tfc and TC, all to no avail.

**2nd update - seems like there's no solution in sight, imma start the game with a new character, but will keep this thread open incase anyone comes across it and thinks of something new, thanks to all of you who helped so far.

Honestly, make a new character and remember to save more often.


But since that won't satisfy you, try teleporting to a different cell and hope against hope that you can squeeze a few more hours of enjoyment before your save finishes eating itself and leaves you with a completely unplayable mess. 🤦‍♀️

type player.kill and redo it

Either use `~ key and click on yourself and enter kill or reload a save before that point.

For future (assume by now passed it)
never heard of issue assuming it not your pc, try console to teleport or TC (toggle control) maybe even tcm and maybe tfc 2x (toggle free camera).

? make sure nothing selected (no numbers/letters at top).

the character dies, but it just respawns with the issue

Ok, after you've done your due diligence and make a new character just remember to make and keep hard saves every few quests so you don't lose another sixty levels of progress.

Yup, though when i typed tfc 2x it gave back a script saying it was a false intager for that command

You've covered your possibilities. There are other things you can do, but none of them are going to work. If you can't load an earlier save then you are going to have to start a new character.

Game is buggy, if the tricks mentioned in this thread don't work then you need to load an older save..... if you don't have an older save then you have to start over, only this time remember to save frequently and make them manual saves, because you only get one quicksave and three autosaves, and most of us disable them anyway.
