Size of the display is bigger than the size of the screen
For some reason, the size of the game is much larger than the size of the screen. It's so big that I can't even see the menu part of the main menu, just the dragon logo. This was never an issue before. I tried reseting the graphics settings to default, but it had no effect.

verify the files first thats usually a quick fix if you have xedit or some way to clean your files do so as that will improve things afterwards dramatically

Did you edit the ini file, I ask because some people edit that to allow them to customise skyrim to their screen sizes, and if you did, then it might be seeing what you editted it to as the default.

I took it out of borderless window mode. Seems to have fixed it
