Whiterun Texture Bug + Game Crash
Hello everyone, I have just encountered an issue that has compromised my current game save in Skyrim. I loaded into Whiterun to attend to business and noticed that many of the textures were stripped of their detail and looked low-res. A perfect example of what I saw is in this discussion: https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/282992646971458077/

Luckily for most others, reloading the game or leaving the area alleviated their issue. Mine, however, developed into something far worse. Upon saving, closing, and restarting the game, my quicksave and all autosaves crash on startup, with the loading screen only appearing for a moment before the game completely closes. No error warning, nothing. I do have mods installed, but the texture glitch itself has been seen in others' games who were playing vanilla. As for the cause of the crash, I am not certain, and I will paste my plugins.txt here for all of you to see:

*Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esm
*dodo.esp
*sahplugin.esp
*icepenguinworldmap.esp
*SMIM-SE-Merged-All.esp
*Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp
*Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin SSE Version.esp
*RealisticWaterTwo+-+Verdant+Patch.esp
*Dolomite Weathers.esp
*TrueStormsSE.esp
*SimplyBiggerTreesSE.esp
*Trees in Cities.esp
*JKs Whiterun.esp
*JK's Riverwood.esp
*Insects Begone - Spiders and Chaurus.esp
*Insects Begone - Dawnguard - Spiders and Chaurus.esp
*Insects Begone - DragonBorn Spiders and Ashoppers.esp
*Insects Begone - Hearthfires.esp
*Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp

Considering all of autosaves now take place in Whiterun, going back to the last manual save would be a large loss of progress. I understand the importance of saving often, but I have spent far too much time playing this game to not know to save before challenging areas. This would be the first instance I can think of where such a massive bug has occurred. If anyone can provide assistance with this matter, I would be beyond appreciative.

Did you install and remove mods before this? I had this issue on multple occasions where the Mod manager didn't completely uninstall all of my mods and left trace LOD files or meshes lying around for poorly optimized mods. Also could be some random setting in the prefs.ini screwing with this. Maybe grab an original an replace. You could also try installing a large mod pack to to replace the meshes and textures. Noble skyrim from oldrim nexus may be the key there.

Another trick could be to backup your save files outside of the folder located in documents/my games/sse then uninstalling mods 1 by 1 and running to te place of your autosave to see if you can figure out which one is conflicting in game and if you still get CTD.

My last guess is its something to do with JK's city overhaul conflcting with one of your other mods. Possibly Trees in cities since they both edit the witrun worldspace? KK's mods are awesome but crash happy in heavily modded skyrims.

OH! Also I think SMIM and Lanters of Skyrim conflict if I remember correctly and there is a patch floating around somewhere for them. That could be another point of CTD. Aaand possibly Lanterns and JK's whiterun. How long have you had this setup?

When installing lanterns and simms you need to choose which version you want to use and overwrite the other.
