You are taking about adding light permanently like a mod?
I wish I knew that myself. Sry.
I was thinking about that (the possible solution), but I don't have a clue how to do it - I'm using the C.K. only to making my personal followers.
Any idea (anyone) how can I do it via C.K.?
I don't even THINK to start my guide ("BOSS" project) WITHOUT the ELFX mod!
Of course I'm using it... but the thing is... it does a great job, but I want PERSONALLY to add torches or so to some places (which ELFX didn't placed).
I have all of these (mods).
No, I'm talking about FIXING some glitches. Like I wrote you, an example:
...During your (our) escape from Helgen's Keep, you (we) entering the lower levels of the Keep, killing these b@st@rds Imperials and at a point, we ENTERING into the cave (crossing a wooden bridge that collapse after we crossing it).
Now... exactly when we entering the cave, there are few steps and then few more. On that "stair-top" (the second steps), there are TWO LARGE bowls each one on the top of the pillar of the stairs... and they are EMPTY, no fire, no coal, nothing! There are these bowls... but they are empty, no lights.
THAT KIND of things I wonna add! I've found quite some interior places like these (mostly in caves, dungeons), with lights' PLACES... but no torches or burning coal!
So... only with C.K. can I do it, place some sources?
I'm nott using OR recommending mods from Workshop, but thnxs for your tip.
There's various light objects that you need to place manually where you want them to be. Just take a look at the menu and you'll find them. There's a separate sub-menu under World Objects with various light sources you can use. Just drag them over to the area and position them. It's not difficult but it will take a fair bit of work, depending on how many areas you want to change.
Let's say I wonna change what I wrote - the entrance of Helgen's Cave, when you crossing the bridge... Can you guide me a bit, what I need to open (esp), what to clicks and such?
Or at least a tutorial to read about editing a specific area?
You will find General tutorials to ck. And you will need time and patience to learn everything.
In your case ist easier to fix small things via console directly in your save game. You will also find official tutorials to that if u google.
Guideline:
You need the base id from the objects you want to add. You get this by open console (^) and typing "help x", where x is the keyword you are searching for. Use quotation marks for more words. Best is to go in ck, use cell view, right klick on object, edit, then u get base id. With that base id u can use console commands in game like "placeatme", to get them into ur save game. Use "player.placeatme" to place at ur posi. Hint: best is to use an other object to place things like that. For example drop a bucket from ur inventory. Place it. Then use console click on bucket (the refference id from bucket will appear; not base id), and type "placeatme <baseID>". So you have to find the base id from for example burned wood + fire and place it like that. For correct positioning you need commands like getpos/setpos x/y/z, getangle/setangle x/y/z.
So you can fill ur bowls.
After that add light to that fire. Thats what im searching for atm. You place it the same way.
Here a link with base id i just found: https://www.mmo-game.eu/lists-furniture-containers-books/
If you re not sure if it fits, take a lot in ck cell view what is used together in vanilla. You should always save before placing lights cause they re hard to remove without reference id. It can also conflict with other lights and lighting mods. So Always test a lot before going on.
At last i recommend Realistic Lighting Overhaul (RLO). It adds lights and removes lights too. Read about it. On my new SE Installation, still without ENB, i compared RLO with ELFX in Whiterun. At Dragonsreach you will see RLO removes fog directly at the door, cause ist not realistic. ELFX keeps it. Looks not bad, but less realistic. In ELFX colours are a bit warmer / more orange, RLO keeps more vanilla. In RLO you see better sunrays at the Windows in dragonreach as in ELFX. From the Quality side, my personal Preference was more to RLO.
I mentioned that cause i also realized ELFX moved all the light sources to incorrect positions around the "ill tree" in Whiterun. I dont know if caused by ELFX only, or incompatibilities with other mods, but for me it made decision easy, for RLO. So if u have problems, with lights, not at their posi, but in vanilla, try deinstalling your light mod like ELFX. Otherwise correct it like roughly described above.
