Download and install SSEEdit. Its a powerful tool for making and changing mods.
When you start up the program, untick everything and only tick the mod you want to change (in this case, immersive jewelrly). It'll also automatically load any master files the mod needs.
Once that's done, click the + sign next to the mod in the list on the left. This will bring up more sub-sections containing everything the mod changes. Just find the files for gold/septims. Right-click it, and select remove. It'll ask if you're sure you want to do that. Obviously, click yes. Then, close the program. This will give you the opportunity to save your work. Keep in mind that once you do this, your only way to undo it is to completely re-install the mod. And no, removing gold/septims from the mod won't remove them from your game; those should be overwrite files, so removing them will just undo the changes they make.
I’ll try it next chance I get
As for the last line that was because someone kept complaining that I don’t own the game and wouldn’t help me
:/
Here it is:
"Immersive Jewelry metallurgy/chemistry has calculated septim weight as if each septim was made of 60% copper. This is not only realistic for the setting (debasing coinage during a civil war), but gives a reason to ship and carry bullion instead of coins, even when not carrying banknotes."
anybody reading this, this might not be 100% what you want, as stated, as there is another change or two to gold in the same section. but, it's nearly as easy as what BlackWolf said.
first, the help finding it - after you've done the 'click the + sign next to the mod in the list on the left', as BlackWolf said, it's in the "Misc. Item" section, the very first row in there - it says 'Gold001". click on this row. in the right side pane, scroll to the very last line, where it says 'weight'. double click the numbers in the third column, "0.00100" if i remember right, SSEEdit will ask you to confirm, click yes. type in "0", hit enter, close program. done!
