In Nexus, look for Ashara SSE Follower's faces. They're pretty good facial reconstructions of many of the female and male followers. Bodyslide also works for SSE however Caliente's Beautiful Bodies mod (CBBE) hasn't been updated for the SE version yet (not sure why, since it's been months now), so as far as I'm aware you just have to stick with the vanilla body shape.
I don't know about Essential mods as haven't looked for them.
