They don't run out.

Good to know, Thanks.

Actually, at any one time, you can only mine 3 ores and then the ore vein has no more ore; however, ore veins do respawn after a time, so in that sense they never run out. If you are continually mining and receiving more than 3 ores per vein at one time, it must be a mod that is changing it.

Not true for the quarry, you recive quarried stone endlessly and you don't stop mining either.

Im pretty sure I read somewhere that there was about 4000 units in both stone and clay quarries.

What I dont understand, is why there are so many clay quarries all over the country? It seems they were going to have another common thing to craft out of clay, and dropped it.

Shoot, you're right! Misread and asssumed it was ore, not quarry. That's what I get for assuming! And you know what they say about what happens when you assume? - well this time it was only me!

Maybe they were going to use clay to make the walls of Hearthfire homes? That would seem to make sense to me (of course, this is coming from someone who didn't recognize we were talking about quarrying stone, not mining ore - geez, you'd think I was stoned or something!).

Yes smr - you really are on a roll tonight! If you actually bothered to use that thing sitting on top of your neck that's called a head, you would know that clay is used in the construction of hearthfire homes and their walls!

There, I saved everyone the trouble of correcting me. Maybe I really did smoke something, but just didn't know it? Time to sign-off for a while!

I think quarries do run out actually, but it's something obscene like 5000 stones. Basically to stop people from getting unlimited gold selling rocks, lol.

I once started mining a quarry, went and made lunch, and got back to more stone than I could possibly use.
