Vivid Weathers strange CTD problem?
I only have a few mods. Currently I have SMIM, better world map, wildcat, veydosebrom grasses and groundcover, realistic water two, and Vivid Weathers (in that mod order going from bottom to top.) Everything has been working just fine but I did have my mods in a different load order. Today I wanted to get NobleSkyrim to spice things up, so I did the manual install for that and then the SMIM patch and when I loaded up my game I noticed there were weird polygonal artifacts in the sky and when I looked up at the sun. I tried a reinstall of both Noble and Vivid Weathers and ended up changing my load order to what it is now, which fixed the problem. I went into a cave however and realized it was brighter than normal, and that I had to go into my inventory and use the "Vivid Weathers Config" book to set it back up how I had it before. Now, no matter how many times I reinstall or change my mod order, everytime I go into my inventory to configure VW, the instant my cursor hovers over the config book my game CTD. I thought maybe it was an overload problem because I'm on a medium tier gaming laptop, so I unistalled Noble, but it still is happening. I really dig vivid weather and this is a really strange crash I haven't found anywhere else. Any help would be really appreciated.

Yup, I got the same. Did nothing with the vivid weather mod and I don't have the NobleSkyrim mod. I discovered this when I wanted to read another book and my mouse hovered over the vivid weather book and the game crashed. The only solution I found is to disable the mod, which removes the book.

Maybe we should report this to the modders?

I have reported to the modders. I did ended up uninstalling all mods, and the save, and starting all over. Ended up being worth it because my load order was more refined the second time around, but it is a bummer to have lost the save

Hey I found the problem. You have to use the full BSA content (roughtly 300mo), found in the download page of the mod. The modder said so in its "bugs" section. This fixed it for me.
Hope this helps!

Download the "Vivid Weathers SE - full BSA"

I think this is it, did it more than 2 months ago.

That says version 1.58 from a year ago. Why not just get the 1.61 and 1.62 update, combine, and make your own .bsa?

Because this seems way more complicated than just downloading the BSA the modder said solved the problem. But I guess it's up to you!

Installing the full BSA and disabling the previous vivid weathers worked!

Please open a new thread rather than necro an old one. Provide your PC specs and mod load order so we may better troubleshoot your issue.
