Tried to give Lydia hair from KS Hairdo's mod, accidentally gave her black face, can't fix, please help.
I followed a tutorial commented here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/5wxpt1/im_looking_to_replace_a_npcs_hair_with_a/

which states to do as follows:

1-Load up skyrim.esm and ks hairdo's.esp on TESVEdit.
2-Go to Non-playable character(Actor) and find your npc.
3-Right click on it and select "copy as override into" ->choose new file.
4-Name your file as you want.
5-Go to the new file and right click it. Select Add master. Select KS Hairdo's.esp
6-Select the hair you want for your npc.
7-Exit/Save.

And yes, this worked perfectly, this created a new mod and Lydia has the hair i want her to have, but her skintone for her head is very dark. Some people say that you need to regen facedata, a few people on NexusMods forums say that that's a bad idea, probably won't fix it and, infact, will probably break some of your other npc's faces. I havn't done this yet. The same person said this can be caused by multiple mods editing the same NPC, though i've individually disabled every mod that could be doing that and I think that simply can't be the case, he says "Once you got your load order sorted, run Wrye Bash and create a "bashed patch". In most cases your problem is solved." I don't know what this means, but i got that program and *maybe* did it? but i'm not sure, he provides no explination. Reguardless, I've been trying to get this to work for 4 hours and i've made 0 progress. Please help.
UPDATE: Just noticed i had a version of KS Hairdos (renewal) for OG Skyrim, I'm suprised it worked at all although not sure if its really gonna fix anything when i update.
