Special Edition is the most stable. Even without modding or anything it's the best version to get.

Thx :)
Clearly get sse. oldrim is for x32 bit pc's. SSE is for x64 bit pc's and it's more stable. I have 1.3 hours on sse, thanks to mods :)

Hell I might buy the Skryim Vr version but on summer sale because i'm not spending another 60 bucks on it.

Should've posted your specs to get more accurate suggestions. Who knows, perhaps you're on some 32-bit WinXP with 10 year old hardware. While SSE is definitely more stable due to it being 64-bit, it is also more resource hungry, so there's that.

64bit here and using LE over SE is my preferred choice, most of my installed LL mods don’t work on SE, plus the load/save menu sucks...

SSE, using appropriate LL mods. 'works just great.
