Micro-Stutter Everywhere
Howdy.
I'm getting micro-stutters in the game roughly every 5 to 10 seconds, mostly when running.
At first I though it could just be the game loading assets or something. But I've sat still in one place for a few minutes and continued running around just to test this, but the stutter did not go away. Bare in mind I'm on a beaten path, with not much around - just a small village with a couple of NPCs nearby.

No matter what settings I set the game to - High or Medium, Post-processings off, Rendering Distance to Low - nothing seems to fix it. My machine is more than capable of running the game, there is no RAM/VRAM issue.

Read other stuttering threads - nothing. Most of them are only "Turn VSync off".

It's unplayable like this. Help. :(

This probably will not help, but may be of interest. I had the exact same problem in Oldrim after ugrading to Windows 10. I tried every fix out there, and there are a lot, and nothing made the microstutters stop. I had to move to SSE even though I liked Oldrim more. In SSE I don't have the problem at all, clean 60 fps, this is why I said this probably wouldn't help you. I suggest though that you look for the fixes suggested for Oldrim microstutter, as I said there are a lot and it has been discussed extensively, and one of those might work for you.

Tried a new character w/ no mods? Could be scripts running in the background. I've noticed that whenever I have micro-stuttering, I always have scripts running in the background.

The stuttering when the game renders/loads new cells is a bit different, it lasts a bit longer, so you can tell the difference easily.

Thanks regardless. :>

I have no mods installed.
Never had in the past tried mods either. And nothing's been edited in the config files or similar.

Could be the anti-virus, or other security programs like malwarebytes, I've seen people reporting stuttering becasue of malwarebytes. So disable these and see if anything's changed. I can't help you beyond that, that's all that I know.

I see.
I just tried again, the stuttering seems to be the hardest when I first load a save, after that it gradually decreases. It's still present even after a while though. Better than every 5 seconds though, I guess.

Thanks you. :>

I have this issue as well, seems to have cropped up since the creation club update, not sure why.

I've seen this since the inception of the release. Some people had to disable certain config settings and not use SLI. It will depend on your video card and there are guides about stuttering + video card. Google "NVIDIA" or "AMD" video card stuttering in skyrim SE. Otherwise, come back with your videocard name and I'll help out the best I can.
