Should I Wait Until I Get Nintendo Switch Version For Story Mode
i never really played skyrim yet besides the first part millions of times because when my ex friend had it he gifted me a copy to try mods. so technically i never bought a copy but i never play it far either. i figured since im getting a switch would it be worth it just to keep on mobile and buy. mods are great but i can play the regular version too. im just worried about progress since they are both different ports. i just want to spend story mode on one main one. maybe i can beat the switch version and get a game save for pc?

Sure. Play the Switch Version. Enjoy not being able to use mods. Atta boy.

I doubt very much that you will be able transfer a Switch save to your PC. By the sounds of it, that version of the game is going to be quite different than all the rest of them.

If your doing it just for story mode ya you probably should. Though i do not no if their will be mods for it or not. I have not heard if their will be no mods. It would be quiet nice if their would be. I think that if it deosent have mods then it will be a complete fail.

if you are asking if you can transfer your switch save to pc, nope. totally different version and not compatible.
Nor are any mods likely, since the formatting is different for each console and nothing has been done to enable mods on the switch nor has there been any press release stating they will be doing so.

you guys act like i cant live without mods. alls i was asking for is about the story and you have to turn it into something else, just let me try to get a mobile version of the game and play it outside you dont have to pick on me and say try to sway me to stay on the pc port. i rarely mod on my pc games beside saints row 4 and thats very rare. also i know i confused some of you about the game save so i'll try to put it in a different context. i was talking about downloading someone elses save on the pc port if i beat it on the switch. i know i downloaded a save for san andreas because i dint want to beat 108 missions again.

No, you can't use a switch save on pc or vice versa. they are different formats.
Same as if you tried to port a save from special edition to legendary edition. not going to work.

What would be the point? If you don't want to play the game again, don't play it again. If you want to play it but not repeat the same quests, don't repeat the same quests, just explore, I guarantee there will be stuff you missed unless you followed the prima guide from cover to cover.

of course, cause he was asking about porting the save from handheld to pc. and this is where you would ask.

That doesn't even make sense. You can't port it. That's something common sense tells you.

Out of curiosity, how did you get the squared symbol into the text? I tried doing that awhile back and couldn't figure out how to do it.

You're forgetting that common sense isn't really all that common.

I think he's saying he wants to download a "completed" save game (oh, my sweet, summer child...) from someone else for PC, though I can't for the life of me think why.

What the hell is Gr? I presume it's not individual key strokes of G and R?

Ah ... you're not using an UK keyboard. It's Alt for US.
