how do I sell items?

I was wondering how to sell items in my invantory. I know where to sell them I just want to know how to sell them.

Speak to a merchant during business hours, ask what they have to sell, scroll to the lower half of the menu on the left hand side, click on a category (weapons etc), click on the thing you want to sell, ??? Profit!
