unnoficial patch and follower arrows

so I installed the patch because of the Quick reflexes slow motion glitch, it fixed that and some other issues with NPC repeating one line of dialogue.

But my followers now waste their arrows. And this doesn't seem to affect enemy npcs.

Also, the merchant at Windhelm that's in front of the Alchemy shop now sells only meat. I always though his meat stand was a front for his illegal trade, that's why he sold different products. I ddin't like this change

What followers? I mean there are modded followers that always use (consume) arrows (for instance Inigo)

Followers have infinite amount of iron arrows only. Once they run out of all different types of arrows in their inventory, they will switch to iron arrows. With USSEP, you can't give them 1 elven arrow and make them use it infinitely.
As for Aval Atheron, not sure, but USSEP should only correct items on display at his stand being purchasable and should not touch anything else.

Eh no they dont have infinite arrows, that was removed ages ago.

Eh yes they always have infinite amount of iron arrows if they have no any other types of arrows to use. It's a part of their default inventory along with their default outfit that you can't take out without using mods.

I didn't know about the Elven arrow trick, thanks Stream. Better than Iron. Too bad they use all the Daedric arrow I give them.

edit: oh you said the can't. So not even the Elven arrow. This patch makes the Mage followers much better then for all around use. The melee followers are stupid and use all the arrows as soon as they can and miss most of the time.

Yeah, in vanilla game you can basically give a follower just one arrow of any type except the iron one and they will use it infinitely. USSEP corrects it.

My point was that it was fixed in skyrim usleep long ago. That changes is transfered to Ussep.
Yea in vanilla it still exists.

Most followers will use this bow when given arrows, and not use any other bow you give them unless they have no arrows, in which case they will use default iron arrows. On PC, you can get around this by selecting your followers in the console commands and typing removeitem 10e2dd 1, and they will use both the bow and arrows that you give them. (That was from Skyrim hunting bow fandom page...showinventory will show you the hidden iron arrows as well...even with USSEP and AFT I have to check on followers once in a while...with no hunting bow and no iron arrows the bow ANNND arrows you give them will be used...and with USSEP they will use the Dwarven crossbow as well...noice.)

Perhaps we just didn't understand each other. They still do have infinite amount of iron arrows even with USSEP installed. USSEP only addresses the infinite arrows abuse when you give them any amount of arrows that are greater than the iron type, which is basically any arrow type except the iron one.

I don't think it's an abuse. It balances with the fact that the follower AI is stupid and will waste the arrows as soon as they can. I wish I could put the option of infinite given arrow for them back.

But anyway, I'm going to just use Serana now. Serana, Armored troll, plus my conjuration and hers. We totally destroyed Blackreach. Also I'm getting so much Bolts in Dwemer ruins for the Crossbow that the regular bow is not getting much use.

Dont forget to take their hunting bow away from them, or they wont use any other bow you give them.

The stand in front of the Alchemist was always a meat stand (i belive it is anyway) and the Fence is a woman at the weapon stand with an Enchanting table behind it.
