Start Revealing the unseen quest help please
I had finished the quest Good intentions in the College of Winterhood 2 days ago, the quest Revealing the unseen was then supposed to start, it did not however, I did not realise this at the time and so went of to do there quests, like fully completing the Dawnguard questline, it wasn't until I went back to sell the Falmer books did I realise something was wrong, I have no journal entry what so ever for the revealing the unseen quest, and talking to Mirabelle or the Arch mage is not doing anything, I have used the console command setstage MG06 0, 10 and 20 to no avail.

TLDR: How do I force this quest to start, I don't mind using mods, console or even save editing

Load a save from before you finished Good Intentions, and hope it was a one off glitch.

I hope to do a reload as a last resort as mentioned, I had done the whole Dawnguard questline inbetween and that had its own set of bugs I barely got through, the only reason I realised the quest was broken was because I had finish said quest line and was going to sell the falmer books to Winterhold, this whole endever took a very long time
You could try the getstage command

I've tried the Setstage MG06 command, the getstage MG06, movetoqv command, even the resetquest

Do you know if theres a way to edit a save file to activate it there?

There is not.

There is no way to edit a savefile.

Nobody knows how the saves are encoded, so if you make changes to them it would be utterly random, and probably corrupt the save. The most anyone can do is deactivate active scripts, which if done with a heavy hand causes more problems than it fixes.

It's important to remember that when you see savecleaner mods/apps claiming they can fix saves.

I'm afraid if you tried the setstage commands you are out of luck and like alex says there is no way to edit a save, ever. can't clean it can't edit it.

The other thing is the quest revealing the unseen has it's own known bugs that can be hit and miss. So before you go back to an earlier save and lose all the dawnguarrd quests you accomplished that is something to think about. Many of these bugs have been addressed however by the USSEP so I hope you have that installed and had it installed before all this occurred.

USSEP is a mod I always use, it has been active since the begining of my gameplay
Okay, so I looked into it and came to this conclusion: F*** it
I skipped it and started the next quest in its path with setstage MG05 30
If someone in the future can somehow fix this and happens across this post, please share in your wisdom
