Riften
I was Thane of Riften for Laila Law-Giver but then I sided with Imperials and lost title. I helped three people again and have Honeyside already, but I don't get quest to speak with Maven and in fact she doesn't even have any dialogue options for me. Is there a way to become Thane of the Rift again or it's impossible now that I completed I done got Thaned?

Are you sure you lost your title? IIRC there was or maybe still is a glitch where if you entered your home (Honeyside) before becoming Thane you then could not become thane. So maybe because you've already been inside the home and now you're technically back to before becoming thane, you may be in the glitch.

Try stealing something or hitting a guard and see if you can use "Thane" to get out of it (save first). Unless you're positive you're not Thane anymore. This never happened to me so I don't know. Hopefully someone has an answer.

When I first became Thane, I did visit home prior to talking with Jarl and all was ok, but I did visit Honeyside after I returned from last CW quest, though I didn't think it would be problem. And no I tried hitting Guard with Blade of the Rift or without and I got no option about thaneship

Got this exact same problem... infuriating, I earned that title. Is this how the Empire thanks me for my service?? Stupid Maven is too haughty to even initiate a discussion with me.

I vaguely remember having the same thing waaay back when I originally did my first playthrough on Oldrim. Guess Bethesda just couldn't bring themselves to fix these issues for SE.

You're supposed to be able to talk to the new Jarl to get reinstated as a Thane. I'm not sure what to tell you if the dialogue option isn't appearing.

Read up on Maven in this article. There are two quests you have to do before she will name you Thane, I wonder if you need to do those first to gain her favor?

If you are referring to The Raid and Supply and Demand, I already did those with the previous Jarl, Laila Law-Giver, and was made thane afterwards. And buying Honeyside and helping peasants of course. I haven't started Thieves Guild in this game yet, we'll see what, if anything, happens when I work through that one.

Thanks, but like Blackread said if you already completed Skooma quests then you'd by logic would have to complete another 3 quests for people before getting "talk to the Jarl"
Maybe I walked into Honeyside which disabled that quest , idk

I hope you are able to resolve it! I'm out of ideas, other than trying console commands to reset quest progression? Is that doable?

You’re blaming the wrong Empire. The one you should complain about is BGS :lunar2019laughingpig:

Nah, quest progression is baked into your save file. Even if you try to use console commands to set quests to a previous stage, they will be effectively ignored, as the game sees you having already completed them, and just proceeds to whatever stage you currently are at. I did try using the setstage FreeformRiftenThane 10 command, but nothing happened.

Something that happened to me on my first Skyrim playthrough.

I had Lydia as my companion and when I joined the stormcloak rebellion delivered the axe to the Karl and started the siege of white run she ran off and I had no clue where she went.

After beating the quest I went to recruit faendel just to see if he’d join me and he did clearly she wasn’t registered as my companion anymore.

Looking at this post I may have lost my thane title.

Got it! Good to know.

Well, I just noticed that I'm not a thane in Whiterun either. Even though I sided with the Imperials, and Balgruuf is still the Jarl, the guards don't have the thane option if I commit some petty crime. Naturally, both Balgruuf or Proventus have zero discussion topics related to becoming a thane. Of course I still own the homes, and have the housecarls who refer to me as thane.

In Dawnstar and Winterhold I was able to regain my title without any problems.

Sometimes when you already used your Thane option during crime, it won't pop up again but if you sided with Balgruuf then you are still a Thane, if you sided with Ulfric, complete quest for Vignar to become Thane again

In some cases it's enough to speak to the new Jarl and present you just the title.
