A Comprehensive Guide to using ElminsterAU's xEdit
https://tes5edit.github.io/docs/index.html
I've been looking at papyrus logs which obviously don't really give much crash evidence but I'm noticing a lot of lines with the XPM Skeleton mod which I'm guessing is something to do with AlGUD.
Does anybody else have any other situations? I'm tired of the process of creating fresh Skyrim installs :P
It is a tool for all sorts of diagnosing of problems, and while I've never used it myself (I have very small builds) I know modders use it to find out what is causing a crash.
I was hoping someone who knows how to fix these things would have joined in.
LOOT Advisory Re: Cleaning Mods

As regards xEdit - yes, that is the go to tool for analyzing things with one major caveat: provided you know how to use it and know what to look for. If you are just learning, and unsure of what to do, then DON'T.
Now a question - have you removed any mods from your game and continued play? Because, if you have, you cannot. If that is the case, you must either go back to a save made prior to the removed/disabled mod having been installed, or start a new game - there are no other options.
Another thing - there have been some reports on the mod Deadly Spell Impacts' posts page of CTDs caused by that mod in certain circumstances. If that is the case, see that mod's posts page for some potential fixes (the first few posts).
Finally, you have 3DNPC and Immersive Patrols II - they add a fair number of NPCs to the game. If your PC is not up to it, they can be causing CTDs, just because of the number of NPCs loading into one area at a given time - particularly Immersive Patrols.
Yeah, I only cleaned the mods that LOOT told me to. I'll keep an eye on what you said about Deadly Spell Impacts, 3DNPC and Immersive Patrols. I think my pc can handle it so I don't think it'd be the too many NPCS.
I'm pretty sure I did have mods then delete them and go back into my save, I wasn't very far though so I'll start a new save, play around a bit and see if it's any better. Thank you for the reply.
Good idea (just make sure you load a clean vanilla save when you test). Let us know how it works
