Setting SSE Launch options
I can't find the answer through googling.

I just finished installing SKSE because I want to use SkyUI, which is also installed. Both are installed correctly, but I'd like to just be able to click "play" in Steam and have the game launched with the skse64_loader.exe instead of the default SkyrimSE.exe .

I can't find what I need to set in the launch options to do this.

Can anyone tell me or point to where this is listed? I swear I have done this with games in the past, but I can't remember any details.

If you want to launch from Steam itself, just add skse64_loader.exe as a Non-Steam Game.

Maybe you worded this part wrong but You must launch from Thru SKSE64

The best way to do this is by creating a shortcut to your desktop or to your mod manager.

As far as launching from Steam I'm pretty sure that's possible but I don't know the steps as I never set it up that way. You still would have to set it up thru skse64launcher

But you must have steam running regardless.

Edit: is this what you are looking for?
Vlad I would not recommend that. Renaming the exe's WILL get you into trouble down the road. That old article is dangerous. For starters, it messes with SSE Engine Fixes and throws off LOOT reporting. Adding as a Non-Steam Game is the way to go.

I actually added a couple posts on the article page. It works, but just as soon as you get into any serious modding using skse plugins, it falls apart. It should be taken down.

Well I just ended up making a shortcut for now. It works. I never knew Skyrim's UI could be so beautifully competent. It's like someone who has used a mouse and keyboard designed it.

ETA: Thank you for the tips, dudes.
