Crash near Falkreath [fixed]
Whenever i go near Falkreath, the game crashes. I have not tested this any further, but it seems pretty obvious.

I use mods, and i have never explored around Falkreath before.

"After I verified the game files in Steam I could go through the bugged area without any more crashes. Played for several hours without crashes now. I tried to replicate what I did when the game crashed but it no longer crashed there for me. I guess it works again."
Thank you, EkorrenHJ

run FNIS.
if it doesnt help disable forgotten city and test that, unlikely that but might be a bad install of it

There's only a few mods there that feel like they could trigger crashing in Falkreath specifically (assuming you're not getting crashes elsewhere). Immersive Citizens, Diverse Dragons Collection and the Notice Board SE is the ones I'd try disabling one by one and check if they cause it (could be a load order issue too). All the weather mods would likely trigger crashes anywhere and everywhere if there were any issues.

Will do.

Im pretty sure it was me not have FNIS. I made it to Falkreath without a hitch.

It's either Notice Board SE or Rich Skyrim Merchants (I also have them) but i noticed that the RSM mod doesn't work properly because after you sell a few thousand coins worth of items your money will not increase but you can "Sell" items and the merchant's money will not decrease. Try moving Notice board SE to the very bottom of your load order. If that doesn't work move it to the top.

Well, thats not the problem anymore, but thanks for telling me about rich merchants. Gonna go see if that happens to me.

Okay, I'm having this same problem. It happens on the road just outside of Falkreath, and it's my first time going there.

The only mods I have that are the same as yours are:

Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim
Immersive Citizens
The Forgotten City
Unoficial Skyrim Patch (SSE)
Wet and Cold

I don't have FNIS, as I don't see how that could possibly affect anything I have since all it does is enable custom character animations, and I have no mods that require it.

I know my load order is fine, since I use LOOT and I've altered the timestamps as required by the current version of USKP. Everything is updated, and there shouldn't be any conflicts. So now I'm starting to wonder if the problem is in vanilla.

OP, can I ask what it was that finally got it working for you? Again, it doesn't seem like FNIS would have any affect on this. I have more mods than these installed, but out of all of them, these are the only ones that we have that are the same. I suppose it's possible that the crash happening in the same area could be a coincidence, and mine is being caused by something different than yours.

Do you have ANY npc script mods that you can live without?

Out of everything, Immersive Citizens is the only one that uses NPC scripts. (Forgotten City is "sealed off", so that shouldn't affect anything.) Wet and Cold does as well under certain weather conditions, but I've tested the area under all conditions and it happens with all weathers at all times.

I'm experiencing crashes close to Falkreath as well. It's very close to the bandit camp with the bridge going over the road. I could go through there yesterday without issues. Now I'm crashing when I'm looking for the beast for the Hicinte quest and moves up the path to the right side of the bridge coming from Falkreath. This is the only location where I've experienced crashes thus far.

My mods are (I don't know the load order at the moment):

Super Simple Needs
When Vampires Attack
Run For Your Lives
Static Mesh Improvement
Stones of Barenzia Quest Markers
Balanced Weights
Wet and Cold
Relationship Dialogue Overhaul
Oblivion Gates in Cities
Karthwasten
Soljund's Sinkhole
Whistling Mine
Shor's Stone
Ivarstead
Bring Out Your Dead
Cutting Room Floor
Frostfall
Darkwater Crossing
Kynesgrove
Storefront
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
Shadowmarks
Campfire
Practice Dummies
Point The Way
Gildergreen Regrown
Dragon Claw Stands
Beast Skeletons
Belt-Fastened Quivers
Manor Roads
Bee Hives

My setup:

Intel Core i7 6700K
ASUS Z170 PRO Gaming
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3000MHz CL15
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
ASUS GeForce GTX 980 Ti STRIX 6GB DirectCU III OC
Samsung 850 EVO Series Basic SATA III 2,5" SSD - 500GB
Samsung SSD 840 120GB
Define R4 Black
Integra R2 750 W
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit Swedish

(I have all the latest drivers and I've Touch Keyboard disabled. I've also unplugged my Wacom device because that causes crashes in the game before)

Weird. I dunno what your problem is.
