Mods option disappeared from menu

I noticed this a long time ago, but thought it was because of an update.
The mods option from the main menu has disappeared entirely, and I don't know why.

Where did you get your game from?

have you tried re-installing it ?

I got my game for free during release.
I haven't tried re-installing yet, will it delete all of my saves?

you can move out the saves to another folder and then move them back in after the re-installation

saves are located in C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition

did you add this in your SkyrimPrefs in C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition folder and added this line bEnableFileSelection=1 in SkyrimPrefs under [Launcher] at the bottom

mine looksd like this

[Launcher]
sD3DDevice="AMD Radeon R7 200 Series"
uLastAspectRatio=1
bEnableFileSelection=1

bEnableFileSelection=1 enables mod to be used in game


Afterwards launch the game with the games desktop exe shortcut and not the launcher


Also make sure your game is installed in the steam directory C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition folder

I have a fast drive and so my game is on my G drive , but most steam or PC use the C drive

Still isn't working, I have a option to look at mods from tab in the game itself, but still no option to install or look for them. :(

You're better off using Nexus anyway.

That's the first I've ever heard that. Nexus has WAY more mods than will ever appear on Beth.net. Which ones do you think are exclusive?

I haven't come across any yet, but i'm just expecting there to be some, and if that happens then I would like to get one from there. But i'm not sure.

so, uh, just got the same error as well lol
