Any ideas?
Has your save from PS3 ever had any mods installed?
Ah, I wasn't sure if they had added the workshop for old generation consoles or not.
I created two additional save files as a test....they are as follows...
1) Logged back into the PS3 version of Skyrim. Un-equipped my infinite value armor gear and stored them into a barrel at home.
2) Saved game.
3) Exited game, re-entered the save file where my gear is still on.
4) This time took my gear off and dropped them all on the floor.
5) Saved game.
6) Popped in the USB thumbdrive and copied over those two save files.
7) Walked over to the laptop, ported those two save files over to the PC version of Skyrim.
8) Transferred those two files into the Save folder.
9) Launched Skyrim Special Edition.
10) Loaded the save file where the God-mode gear are in the barrel. Upon attempting to access the barrel's inventory, BOOM! Game crashes.
11) Loaded the save file where the gear is on the floor. I am able to pick up one gear at a time and then access that gear in my Apparel inventory sub-menu. But I cannot pick up from the floor any TWO of those apparel pieces and then try to access them in my Apparel inventory sub-menu or else the game crashes. So the gear I created on the PS3 is too overkill for the PC version of the game.
This is great news because I can just re-create Fortify Enchanting and Fortify Restoration potions at more reasonable values now that I've transitioned over to the PC.
I did this on the PS3 just because I wanted to try it. And I was already at a level of mid 80's through natural hard work prior to doing this.
Now that I'm on a laptop, I'm extremely curious what the world of Mods has to offer. I've occasionally kept up with that culture over the years on YouTube, so I know where I'd like to begin. More or less exploring options for making the game look nicer - textures, etc, that sort of thing.
Now I can continue playing where I left off.
On a side note, I did begin another character and named him after my 2-year old son: Kal-El lol
Thanks so much, friends!! Any additional tips would be much appreciated.
