How do you upgrade weapons to current level?
I can't find it anywhere but I could have swore it existed. I just want a console command that updates a weapon in my possession so it has the appropriate damage and is not outdated when I level up several times. That's dumb and makes no sense for a mytheical weapon and in a game where literally everything else is leveling up that I have to throw away a badass weapon I got on a quest and I'll only be able to get one of them the entire game, I can't even disenchant it to make a new one. I tried adding a new dawnbreaker, but it stayed at the original attack damage and potency that I first got it.

B
help "Daedric sword" 0

player.addotem [given ID] 1

Go temper it.

Or just make your own versions in Creation Kit! :D

There are mods that will upgrade these leveled rewards.

Dawnbreaker isn't a leveled weapon to begin with. There's only around eight or nine leveled weapons in the game, and none of the Daedric quest rewards are among them.

Are you sure there's no console command? Cause Skyrim is already kind of glitchy I'd rather not mess with some mod from some random guy.

I don't know what that means exactly but monsters are getting stronger and Dawnbreaker is staying the same, so...I need a way to upgrade it.

What I mean is there's only 9 weapons in the game that have more than one version of the weapon (based on your level when you first enter the zone that contains them). Dawnbreaker always has the same damage, there is no version of Dawnbreaker with any greater damage, so there's no possible console command to boost its damage.

Most of your damage is going to come from weapon skill, weapon perks, gear enchantments, and blacksmithing, anyway.

This mod is pretty nice otherwise.

But no, there is no console commands to make an item better. Your only ways to improve the damage is to raise the relevant weapon skill and get your smithing up until you can improve the weapon.

This is a list of all of the leveled items: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveled_Items You have to GET them at certain levels, they do not level with you. If you get a low leveled Chillrend, you are stuck with those base stats forever... barring a mod or using the console command to give you the leveled version that you want. You can do this by using the ID of the specific version and the console code for giving the player an item.

Note that there is no Dawnbreaker on that list. You need to train up One-Handed skill and perk it, and then also skill up and perk Smithing in order to fully temper it. You can also abuse the crafting system if you want to, but that's pretty long and boring and I don't find it worth it.

That's so weird...I guess there's been a lot of patch updates since I played it 5+ years ago.

Even 5+ years ago, weapons didn't increase as you leveled up (except those 9 would be stronger if you got them at a higher level).

You can boost damage - by huge amounts - by skills, smithing, and enchantments. The base damage of my Daedric Warhammer is 27. The damage displayed when I equip it is 1309. That is without any exploiting of the Fortify Restoration potion loop (although I did use the Falmer Helmet glitch to equip 5 pieces of Fortify Alchemy gear instead of 4).

No you got me completely backwards. The fact that weapons don't level up is my exact point which I even stated................................I just wanted something to level up the weapons with me.

The point is, with only a few exceptions, weapons don't have "levels" - there's no such concept in the game.

There are different types of weapons (Daedric swords are better than iron, for example) but except for the improvements you make by smithing or enchanting, every Daedric sword is the same damage as every other Daedric sword.

That would take a lot more than a console command to change, you're asking for a totally new system of weapon leveling.

But weapons not having a level is my point...they keep becomming more and more outdated as monsters become more powerful. I mean if you take like 20 smith potions and have double enchantment unlocked, sure you can get a slightly more powerful weapon that does tons of damage...after 1000 hours of playing to get to that point, which has some good and bad with it. Even if it was someone working for the company, there's hundred of people who worked on it, no one is going to know all the info that hundreds of other people managed. Bottom line is I knew something changed and I knew it had somethign to do with updates. Then for no reason, someone started saying "there've been no changes" and then gave me proof that there were.
