Eye icon with bow?
Every time I pull out my bow it has an eye icon for the crosshairs. Is there a way to get rid of this and use the basic crosshairs icon? Also if I draw back on my bow is there a way to not shoot the arrow? And just out it away? Thanks to anyone that can help.

You can avoid shooting the arrow by using R (the holster weapon button). It'll just put the arrow away if you got one charged.

When you draw the bow, is the bow horizontal or vertical?

Horizontal. I'm playing on PS4

The eye icon means your are sneaking/crouched.

Your bow will be horizontal when stealthing and vertical when standing upright.

You have the eye icon when you're sneaking and are not hiding.
When you're not seen by anybody, the icon changes into a closed eye (kind off).
So the eye icon is an indicator for hiding. It's useful because you get a bonus when shooting when you're hidden from your enemy

Thanks all. I do have another question. Can I auto lock the crosshairs in 3rd person to the actual view I'm looking? In combat I'm swinging away from where my character is looking because of the crosshairs. Is there a way to lock this on the console version?
