Report a translation problem
I know some of that ain't right. Mjoll can't die, Cicero can't die, Initiates can't die. Also most of them can progress to 50, Initiates can hit 100, and J'Zargo has no cap.
I'm pretty sure the unofficial patch 'corrects' most of those.
Weird thing is when she died I left the area she died in and went into the next instance to finish out the dungeon. When I returned her body was gone. I found it in Riften lying on the floor in the tavern there. I could not loot it, only move it. So I propped her up on the bench by the stairs so everyone could check her out!

Either way, you can always use console commands to raise them or wait until their bodies appear in the hall of the dead to get your ♥♥♥♥ back.
Some followers are marked essential, specifically: Mjoll the Lioness, Derkeethus, Serana, Cicero, Farkas, and Dark Brotherhood Initiates. They cannot be killed by any means - should their health be depleted, they will fall to the ground, but get up after a minute or so.
