how would we even know

anyways you probably were fighting vampires and they used their blood succ attack, and you contracted vampirism, you can cure it or you can wait some days and get abilities, but make sure you succ people while they sleep, or people will hate you when you dont, because your vampirism grows stronger without the blood succ

you must have gotten infected and didnt notice because you can cure it early with cure disease potion....now that you are a vampire it will be harder to cure......i think you need to ask at inns and such because there is a person in the game that you can see who can cure vampirism......but i dont know the persons name.

Is mthere still a graphiic indication like in old Skyrim. In future you could take a cure potion after fighting them.

when you fight a vampire, if you notice people saying 'you look sick' it means you have probably been infected and need to take a cure disease or visit a shrine. there is a way to cure vampireism, which you can find if you search online 'skyrim how to cure vampireism' and it tells you what you have to do, or you can go back to a save where your not a vampire, visit a shrine or use a cure disease potion.

When a NPC tells you .. you look sick it's not sick as "You look awesome".

Disclaimer: this is not a serious response.

Now what? You can:
  • Kill yourself, you're a menace to all citizens of skyrim.
  • Suck for money.
  • Joining the Dawnguard would be great idea.
  • Role play as a Vampire.

You contracted the disease, which gets progressively worse if you ignore it. People will attack you on sight once they realise. Like someone said, you can feed off victims to counter this.

In the original skyrim people would attack you on sight in the final stages of vampirism. But

when they added the DLC "Dawnguard" (which is included in Skyrim SE) they changed that so

now people will only comment on your appearance. Even if you are a vampire lord the only way

people will attack you is if you change into the vampire form. (like how you do a wearwolf)

So you are not in any danger from towns folk for now, but if you want to cure yourself go to Morthal and there is a priest dude living in a house there that can start a quest line for you to cure yourself.

* YOU FEEL A STRANGE HUNGER AS THE SUN SETS*
* YOU FEEL SLIGTHLY WEAKER AS THE SUN RISES*

72 ingame hours later you get advanced vampirism.

guy in morthal will cure your advanced vampirism for a filled black soul gem.

ah I see, fair enough, I didn't know they changed it.

I cannot tell you why, but you have been chosen for some reasons, young Dovahkiin.

Now, what you must do is:
- Travel to Castle Volkihar
- Become a vampire lord
- Destroy the Dawnguard
- Become ruler of Skyrim
