No mods, legendary - Tips and guidance.
Trying skyrim on legendary, anyone got any tips for it? I feel it's just about making all enemys bullets sponges, or sword sponges in this case. Any tips would be great.

Might want to mod it with the unofficial patch .... to get rid of a lot of bugs!

IMO get good at enchanting and use health absorbsion on your weapons. And be good at stealth. The extra crit damage is nice, and the lifesteal is basically true damage.

That's what it does... Each difficulty level lowers how much damage you do while increasing how much damage the enemies do.

I personally choose a difficulty level I find fun and ignore society's need to be hard core.

why would you want to play without mods? the game is actually harder with a few combat mods installed

Honestly, Skyrim isn't made for Legendary difficulty. I did about 1/4 playthrough on legendary before quitting, not because it was difficult, but because it was drudgery. Instead of a fairly even playing field where some enemies are strong and others are weak, as it's supposed to be, all enemies effectively take about 3x as long to defeat. All fights feel like boss battles just without the suspense and half decent loot.
I think your best bet would be a combat mod. Personally I keep the game at Expert and never raise my health stat past 100. I prefer this as it maintains the RP elements of my sneaky elf, and keeps the game a challenge regardless of player level.

im playing legendary survival, no tips, nothing can help you early on :steamhappy: , you will die alot, im basically using everything i have, PER ENEMY , first mission to get dragonstone i had to use traps to kill the enemy, because there was no way i can take them...
the only tip i can give you is preparation, have everything before heading out...
also install mods, way better with them, like cloaks, more ring, pouches etc :lunar2019coolpig:

Thanks for the info guys, i agree the part about some of it being tedious though, theres got to be a way to make things harder without ezmode of more hp.

legendary makes the game much more rpg, you can't deal with that enemy yet?

come back later when you are stronger.

instead of face tanking everything.

Legendary difficult requires patience, a bit of brain and strategy instead of "ow an enemy, R1 R1 R1 R1 R1 R1 R1 R1 R1"

edit: after I played legendary difficult for the first time, I just can't play any other lower difficult since, everything is kinda easy.

I wonder if they described Legendary difficulty as follows, how many people would want to play it?

"The 90 lb Weakling! Yes, now you can play as you always dreamed of! Have you ever wanted to play as a character so weak that even a mudcrab can kill you with one pinch? Have you ever wanted to play as someone so weak it takes a hundred whacks with your weapon to kill even the weakest creature? Well now you can! Play as a 90 lb weakling and experience the joy of being beat up by even the weakest of opponents and taking hours to kill even the smallest creature! Play it now! Play The 90 lb Weakling and experience Skyrim as you never have before!"
