Replacing IAFT with AFT

I was getting annoyed with the Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks (it used to be on Nexus but seems to removed so can't get update on it) so I want to install Amazing Follower Tweaks to hopefully be able to set multiples of my followers to live at my home which is mod- Skyfall Estate so won't be crowded. But, I made a mistake to remove IAFT then install AFT but did not load the save. I did check and see that AFT won't work if the save file is using IAFT so would screw up my save. So, wondering if I can remove AFT then go into my save without IAFT and AFT then make new save without AFT then install AFT, and go back to the save. Would that work?

Oh well. I was going to wait for SKSE64 to appear for SSE, but my Legendary Edition did not enjoy swapping to Win10 and GTX 980. I can just as well play SSE without SKSE.

Win10 and the new drivers aren't getting along. That's why I never upgraded
I've seen this issue alot lately on the other boards I'm on.

What comes to IAFT and AFT, you should definitely use IAFT. It is an updated version of AFT.

What comes to changing mods in the middle of the game: don't do that. Skyrim bakes script data to save files. If you remove or replace a mod in mid-game, then Papryus will very likely start causing errors, leading to it slowing down and eventually stack dumps.

It is strongly recommended that you start a new game, if you end up removing any scripted mods from your game. Save Script cleaning tools do not fully remove Papyrus data either.

Well I think I have to start new game since I cannot find IAFT in nexus SSE to download then install it back again. Maybe I am blind to find it? Only thing I can find is the translate IAFT but can I use the IAFT from skyrim, not SSE? Would that work?

Chinegreemelvis did not port IAFT to SSE himself. It looks like it has been removed from SSE section. I don't know, if that was done by moderator, or by the uploader.

from all I have seen over the last few weeks, IAFT was so buggy it was removed. even the german translation is gone now.
Someone said that EFF v3-5-5 (no BSA) works though, but it may have the same problem as AFT right now.

It was marked as recommended upload (for LE) by several testers. I did take a small break from Skyrim. It is possible that some update messed it up during that time and I missed it.

Guessing starting new game with AFT is only option left? Wait, I remove IAFT from nexus mod manager but is there a way that the file is saved? Like mod manager did?
