Blade of The Rift/Riften

Has anyone ever got this at all? I swear in all my attempts to get this weapon the closest I have come to is "Blade of [...]" (from USSEP).

That is the weapon awarded to you by the Jarl of Riften when you become Thane. It is random and anything from iron to daedric.

actually no... its a ice blade unless you use the Unofficial Patch what fixes this bug! and then rewards from the Jarl the Blade of the Rift to get it you must becoem a thane in Riften.
to beocme that must clear the smuggling questline ( starts in fishery at riften docks) + lots of misc quest in riften what then unlock the buy house and becomeing thane

I have never had it as an ice blade, don't know where you got that info from. I have 1800+ hours on the original and it's always been a random blade.

i got it from my 20 times i did that quest lol each time a greatsword with a frost enchant
quality of enchanment and material is based on what level you clear that quest

Been a while since I did that one, guess I'll have to do it again on this playthrough and see. But I don't remember it being an ice blade.

its not called ice blade just that its a greatesword with ice enchnatment
what one could call ice blade
if one isnt that picky about its nameing and just thinks of its function

If you got a great sword every time, you were lucky as hell. it's a random blade of different sizes and metals when you get it from the Jarl.

the weapons awarded for becoming a thane are just standard weapons with a random enchantment. that is also the reason why it can't be summoned in the console, because it isn't a fixed item such as certain staffs, blades, etc). Take for instance the axe of whiterun I've had dwemer, orcish, steel, elven and that in one and 2 handed that was also the case for the weapons of the other holds.

All the thane blades are random based on your level, some of the "blades" are not even blades, but rather maces. Riftien gives "
Blade of {...}" because it has always been broken.

Only a complete moron would purposely not use the Unofficial Patch that fixes hundreds and hundreds of bugs, when they can improve things like this with just a simple mod.
