So using Console Command "showracemenu" reset most my Perks ?

DAMN IT, I always do this mess up my game and its burns me out, just wanted to change my looks, I think when I hit another race then back to mine it reset most my perks, sad day :( had smithing almost 50 and a few other in the 30-40s now most are base, ugh what I get messing with mods and Commands.... calling it a night

So ya be careful with commands, Lucky I had a older Save, just don't change Race in that window.

It is true. You can not change your race or gender in RaceMenu, without resetting your perks, or causing some other mess. You can fiddle with your character appearance otherwise as much as you like.

Avoid Racemenu command, it's known to have a higher than average chance of screwing up your game.

the command is not dangerous, changing race / gender is.

@OP why not just load an older save?

What I did after a few hours of forgetting to, I am so used to playing Fallout 4 Survival I forgot about extra saves, all good now and lesson learned.

You should really just use the face sculptor if you want to change your looks and not your race /sex. It's safe to use.
