Yeah, my favorite is the beefcake kniwn as Kaiden, although I've been told I'd appreciate Sophia, at least in small doses, but unfortunately could never troubleshoot a conflict in my load order that crashed Whiterun's exterior cell.

The other "what if" dragonborn girl (sorry her name escapes me at the moment) was pretty well done in my opinion and her story didn't conflict with lore in my opinion.

My favorite follower is that one person from Riften. To get her you have to get her sword or something. Either her or Aela. I don't use custom follower mods because they break immersion, either terrible voice acting, too silent, or just too lewd.

Lucien! The custom follower. The ghost version in game is also fun though =p

Lucien Flavius, Inigo, Auri (Song of the Green), Kaidan, Vilja... Celia the Kettle Maiden is pretty cool, no custom voice work, but she looks cool and has an option once you've done Dragon Rising to ask her for advice on various topics which uses some lines from her voice type that I mostly don't remember hearing in-game before.

Jenassa is one of my favourite vanilla followers, though.

From vanilla followers, the super-duper best is by far SERANA.

For vanilla, my favorites would probably Teldryn and Serana, so far. I've only got 320 hours logged, however, so I really haven't had the opportunity to experience anywhere near all of the followers. But I love the commentary and genuine realness that Teldryn and Serana offer. I'm also rather fond of Kharjo, Vilkas and Faendal as well. I've gotta try Inigo soon!
