Installing skyrim mods on sse
So I want to install Psyikotics necromancy mod that was created for skyrim but I see people use it on sse on youtube, when you download the file manually bsa files and esb files come up and I have no clue where to put them, if anyone could help or direct me to help I would really appreciate it.

- Download the mod manually
-Extract the mod

The extracted mod folder contains the bsa, bsl, ckm and esp file. Delete the bsl and ckm file.

- Open up BSA extractor and extract the scripts and sound from the BSA.
- Create a folder and name it data in the psikotics folder.
- Place the extracted bsa folders into it
- You should have a folder with just data folder and an esp file (and the readme).
- Archive it with winrar or 7zip
- Install manually with a mod manager
- Activate the mod.

Now the mod needs to be converted from oldrim to sse with CK (olrdim has fileformat 43 and sse has 44)

- Open CK.
- In the left upper corner, open the data tab (looks like an opened folder)
- Double click psikoticnecromancy.esp
- Click "Set as Active File" and click OK
- CK will now convert the mod to sse. There will be few warning pop ups. Just press "Yes to all" until it has converted it compelety.
- After convertion a messagebox will open listing all the errors you got. Just close the window and save the mod by clicking the save button next to the data button.
- Run LOOT and it should work.

If you don't know where to put them don't bother using LE mods on SSE. In short they are not compatible unless converted to SSE.

I did this quickly myself in 10 mins. Mod page said that there's a person selling spells like Affliction, Blood Rage and Deathbolt etc. in Riften graveyard. If he's there with the spells then the mod works (checked it myself, but I didn't bother using any spells).

EDIT: just tested the spells and enemies seem to not take any damage from them indicating that either I did something wrong or during the convertion CK messed up something. Found a gameplay video on youtube and the guy said that he just placed the bsa files into his skyrim data folder one by one and it worked.
Ive been loooking around and I cant find out why I cant find the psikotic esp file in the ccreator, do you have any suggestions?

If you can't find the esp file in CK, then CK cannot read the mod

Make sure CK is installed in your SSE game directory.
What mod manager do you have? If you're using Mod Organizer 2, make sure that you add CK as an executable to MO2 so it can read the mod esps you're currently using. If you're using NMM, I can't help because I don't use NMM.

P.S: Forget about the edit I added to my first post. The spells work just fine, but enemies didn't seem to take any damage because of my low conjuration level. If the mod doesn't work properly after following my guide, then redo it and just delete the ckm file and leave bsl file alone.

err do we really want him to give this knowledge if he doesn't know where to put (as in manual install) the mods?

Everyone needs guidance at some point. And it's not like everyone knows how to install mods manually. I've never installed a mod manually either and I could say "just drag and drop them into the data folder" but anything after and I'm out cold.

True.

If you are in doubt about adding a mod and the proper way of doing so, make sure you look through those two. And if you are stil in doubt, ask. AND, if even after asking you're not sure, just skip that mod - at least for now.

No. Some people better stay away from those things. Far away and don't even think about doing it.
