Can't pick up drinks

Basically I've noticed right from the intro that mead bottles etc could not be picked up, in fact the game acted like the items weren't even there (no "E : Take" option).

At first I didn't think much of it but I soon noticed that I can't take any type of alcoholic beverages at all (mead, ale, wine, you name it). So I decided to look into it deeper and I noticed that the items themselves simply do not exist in my game ! I've tried to do "help mead" in the console only to find out that mead bottles just don't exist at all ! The same goes for all the drinks.

That's super annoying, not only is it kind of immersion breaking, but I just want my Dragonborn to relax with a bottle of mead after murdering 300 draugrs, for Talos's sake !

I've found almost nothing on this, if anyone has any idea why this is happening it'd be greatly appreciated.

weird does it give a reference if you target it in the console? it looks like something changed the beverages into static objects.

I have no problem picking up mead, alto, black briar, honeybrew or empty bottles or whatever and never have.

What is "help mead" ?

The correct command is player.additem 000508ca 4........for honeybrew mead

Any time you feel the need to give yourself something that is what you use, same as if you want lockpicks

player.additem 0000000a 20........

Always leave a space for the number you want of the item.

Some times objects get ever so slightly spawned into other objects (Terrain or tables, etc) and cannot be selected. I usually jump and open console in mid air and select them (You have Better/More Informative console right? Because you don't want to accidently select the terrain) moveto player command.

No, he had the correct command for what he was talking about. "help mead" would display if the item was in the game files in any form, as it would also include mead items including black briar mead, honningbrew mead, and others. What you typed only allows you to confirm if one type is available or not. It is this command that also yields the IDs you are referring to with the additem command.

It isn't showing them because you need to either

A) scroll up,

or

B) need to type help "mead ", with that space being important (and yes those quotes should be there), so that it narrows it down to mead and doesn't include things like "meadery".

I didn't know about more informative console but that looks pretty useful, I'm going to try to find a random bottle and see what id it gives, maybe that could help narrow it down somehow.

Ok everyone big oof on my part, basically I didn't try to go through my mods 'cause I figured it just couldn't have removed RefIDs like that, but when looking at a wine bottle through More Informative Console it said it was last modified by some random obscure mod I apparently had that is supposed to allow you to get drunk.
So I removed the mod and boom, problem fixed...

Righto mate, put your screenshot up, i just did a console command the way you wanted it done, the result was the same, so please put yours up so i can see where i have gone wrong !

You put a screenshot up where you failed to scroll what so ever...and I know you are lying when you said you scrolled up like I told you to since I go this in no time. If you don't know the console that is fine, but don't act indignant when people help you. I assume part of this comes from you not knowing how to scroll. It is the page up and page down buttons.

Scrolling ?, yes i know how to do that, been playing Skyrim since it first came out and you can open my photo up so it expands and you can clearly see there are no individual bottles.

Upon looking in to it further, i think the reason my commands don't show like your is because i use the Templar Main Menu Replacer, so when i type in "help mead" at the start like yours, i get the same as my first screenshot, so some mods must affect the way commands respond, have a good one :)

A main menu mod shouldn't affect this in any way. I simply performed the command at the main menu because I was just quickly getting a screenshot of the list before I went to sleep and had no reason to load into a game.

I see your new picture, but it still hasn't been scrolled up. I can see your last entry at the top there is a cell entry. The mead items in question are listed as alchemy ingredients (ALCH prefix), which if you keep scrolling is above the cell entries (not all of the cell entries are displayed in that screenshot), and above the dialogue entries. You still have 1-2 more "page ups" to go before they show.

Hahaha, i feel like a real noob, JC !, the reason why i couldn't see it all is because i scrolled using the page up in my numbers keys, idiot >:(

I can see the complete tree using the proper page up/page down keys, seriously, my apologies :) and here i've been playing since the game first came out, though i have to say in my defence i stay away from using the ~ key as much as possible.
