console fix for quest "No Stones Unturned"
Took me 45 to find this fix. I hope just having the fix in more than 1 place to search for it will help the next person who searches for it.This only works for the PC versions of Skyrim Special Edition.

You must type these commands into the console exactly as I write them while you are in game. Do not type anyting I put in parenthesis (), just read it to yourself :)

(hit the~ key on your keyboard and type)

set TGCrownGemsFound to 24 (hit enter, then)
set TGCrownGemsTotal to 24 (hit enter, then)
setstage TGCrown 30 (hit enter)

Use capital letters and lowercase letters where I've writtten them, and space key places as indicated them. The quest will then advance to the next objective without you having to find 24 stones of barenziah . You don't even have to find 1 stone, but you MUST be given the quest by Vex in the Ragged Flagon first, before you type all that. That will put the quest at the stage where you just have to find the crown as the next step.

I had 23/24 stones when I KNOW I did every one of them. The quest is so laborious going to 24 different dungeons that it took me a day to get all 24 done, and then the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game said I only had 23. I was not about to do any of those 24 again, to find out which one it was that it thinks I missed. Wrestled with ideas an hour before finally finding this somewhere.

In the very best circumstances, this is a completely worthless post. I never hope for getting the very best though :)

Could have gotten the quest marker mod, only one it doesn't show is the one in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.

I would strongly advise against advancing quests using commands as you have a good chance of breaking your game.

Some of them are not that easy to get whitout quests to the area.

It's better to just skip that quest. If you complete it then the game starts bombarding you with stupid amount of gems. Like at least a few in every container. You get so many of them that there's no point to pick up any other loot.

I have never had any problem getting all 24

yeah, I got a mod that allowed you to pick them up from a secret location, it basically swamped me with gems.

With the Stones of Barenziah mod, it is quite easy to just pick them up during the course of doing other quests.

Plus, after you find them all 40-50 times, its pretty easy to remember their locations.:steamhappy:

Ive never needed to use console for this and I do not recommend it.

Oh yeah, getting a mod to control that is better. Thanks for telling me about that, I'll look for it on Nexus.

But there is the chance that someone like me, will want to get past that quest, doesn't have any mods for it and doesn't want to download any.

A cop told me once, "If it happened once, it'l happen again". It might help someone. Don't really care if it does though, I'll never look at this post again :)

But thanks for telling me about the mod :)

There is 2 variants of the mod.
One that allows you to drop the stones and one that dont allow that.

Thanks for taking the time to share this info.

What happened to me is that I was seen taking one of the stones and immediately arrested. The stone was then confiscated by the guard. I didn't realize it until I got to the end and had only 23 of them, but all locations completed. A little research and I found someone else who'd lost one to the guards.

You'd think after 11 years, this but would have been fixed.
Thanks so much, one stone wasn't able to be found and this helped me.
