Hired Muscle Quest issue

I am currently trying to complete the Hired Muscle quest for Farkas, requiring me to intimidate a randomly chosen character. The game chose a rare weapon and armour merchant in Whiterun named Anka. If I engage, after the brawl, instead of submitting, she enters a hellishly overpowered phase and draws her weapon, and can kill in one hit. Even though I've beaten her in this phase twice, she is still not registering as having been intimidated. How is the world do I complete this quest?

Since the target is from a mod, which apparently does not have the proper animation/scripting, I would recommend going back to Farkas and requesting a different job.

I tried, Farkas would not assign me a new job until I finished my current one. Not just Farkas either, all the people who would normally assign jobs would not give me a new one until I finish the current one.
I'm aware this is a risk in using mods, but the only solution I can see right now is reloading an old save, which goes back uncomfortably far.

That may be the only viable recourse. Wish I knew an alternative.

Enter "setstage CR04 20" into the console without quotes. This will cause it to complete the fight as a success and tell you to return to Farkas. If that fails try changing the 20 to 100 to complete it overall.

After I reloaded the file, I disabled the mod that added Anka to the game, so Farkas had not yet given me the hired muscle quest. However, when I talked to Farkas, he told me he had already given me a quest. I cannot find it in the quests tab, and no other member will give me a quest until I finish the one for Farkas. I think I remember him mentioning a quest, bandits or something, when I first joined the Companions, but I cannot find where I am to go. Any pointers? At this point I don't think it is a mod problem, I just can't figure out what quest he gave me.

type "getstage CR04" , and "getstage CR05" into the console (separate entries) without quotes and tell me what each says. CR04 is your old one that could possibly still be a problem, and CR05 is the bandit extermination one.

This retarded quest wants me to beat up my follower. I don't see how beating someone up will bring me honor either. Poorly written and implemented.

Yes, but the solution to said problem was posted in 2020 on this very thread.

Honestly I'm surprised I am even signed up for notifications on said thread, but oh well.

Apologies for not having replied years back when you answered my question. Thank you for the help! It would have been nice if it were doable without the console but these things happen. I was able to get it worked out, though it's been so long I don't remember how.
