Mod Organizer 2 local profile saves
A heads-up for those having trouble with MO2's local profile-specific save feature.

After many tests, the problem was that I wasn't signed in to my PC through my Microsoft account and, in addition, that I wasn't signed in to OneDrive. I had been using a local user account to easily log on quickly without the need to enter a password or PIN.

In the end, note these factors:

- It wasn't necessary to run MO2 as administrator
- It wasn't necessary to tweak skyrim.ini, skyrimcustom.ini, savepath.ini, or initweaks.ini to ensure the saves showed up under the MO2 profile
- It wasn't necessary to create a profile separate from the default MO2 profile, as if having an alternate profile would mean the feature would work.

I'm not sure if the #1 reason it works now is related to, say, folder permissions (I'm the administrator of this PC), or any specific functional quirk of MO2 2.2.2.1. What happened if I renamed the save folder names after~

[General]
sLocalSavePath=

...to, in my case, "Saves" without the forward slash, my saves would always end up corrupt. If I renamed the save path to C:\Users\myusername\(etc until deep into the specific profile's local save folder), trying to save the game would return an error message saying the save/load operation had failed altogether.

It shouldn't be restricted to admin accounts or OneDrive, but this is what worked for me. Now all it takes is ticking the box next to where it says "Use Profile-Specific Save Games", and voila.

~

Hope this helps someone! :)
